  3. Staying Active

It’s important to get fresh air and go outdoors when possible to achieve a healthy lifestyle. During a shelter in place order, communities must remember to social distance themselves from others and take special care to practice health and safety best practices.

With gyms and fitness studios closed, residents can turn to online options like YouTube to find free exercise videos with instructions and activities from trainers like PE with Joe or free classes from Oti Mabuse. Users can search for videos like pilates, yoga, stretching, core workouts, and more to stay active. Those with gym memberships or subscriptions are also encouraged to check in with their own gyms for more virtual training and activities that may be included in their membership.
